Formed in April, 2005.

HAYATO (piano) and HIRO (cajon) formed →Pia-no-jaC← in April 2005, and they specialize in instrumental music just as the duo's name suggests. The name is a combination of "piano" and "cajon", with the latter spelt backwards from the right. It also means “to jack the live space with using piano and cajon.”

Self-taught musically, the simple unit of only keyboards and percussion has crisp and energetic sounds, blending oriental flavors with Japanese spirits. The word "hybrid" best describes their music. Needless to say their live shows are the most striking, where technique, sound and performance are all highlighted at once.

November, 2009 Set up the production office, “PEACE PRODUCTION inc.”
Also, inaugurated a brand new label, “PEACEFUL RECORDS”.

January, 2011 Received an offer from a well known commercial creator, Michihiko Yanai for the very first TV Spot tie-up.

Released 1st Album「First Contact」in September 2008.
After that, →Pia-no-jaC← continued releasing 5 original albums. The total sales of the albums are now over 400,000 copies at the moment. The record is breaking one another even now.

Having a high stand of their original sounds, they have been participating numbers of compilation albums also. For example, “Disney Compilation Album”, “Piano Compilation Album” (which Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi also participaged.), “PE’Z 10th Anniversary Tribute Album”, “SQUARE ENIX (the biggest company in the game industry) Compilation Album”, “Chopin 100th Anniversary Compilation Album”, and the collaboration album with DJ DAISHI DANCE which was released in 2010.

Also →Pia-no-jaC← has received an offer from ARASHI (One of the highest reputation national icon group in Japan)to participate in their album, “Boku No Miteiru Fuukei”. Not only in the recording industry, but also achieved offers from the musical industry, “Takarazuka Revue Company”.

Furthermore, →Pia-no-jaC← also works on the Radio jingle and the TV jingle. Many people have listened to →Pia-no-jaC← sounds without knowing its their music.
”Seeing is believing” is just the right phrase for →Pia-no-jaC←.
Once you start listening to →Pia-no-jaC←, you will find it hard to stop. Their energetic music will attract all of you.

Over 150 concerts have been done every year and their overpower shows attract lots of people.

Autumn 2008, →Pia-no-jaC← played for “FM 802 MINAMI WHEEL” in Osaka. Their venue was crowded with an enthusiastic audience and got regulated.

January 2009, →Pia-no-jaC← went through a tour in France, going around Cannes and Paris. At the festival, “MIDEM”, →Pia-no-jaC←　was called for an encore. For MIDEM, it was the first time that the audiences requested an artist for an encore. After “MIDEM”, →Pia-no-jaC← received requests from over 30 countries to play in their countries.

May 2009, →Pia-no-jaC← played for “ ZIP-FM SAKAE SP-RING 2009” in Nagoya. Again the venue was crowded with the people and got regulated.

In summer 2009, →Pia-no-jaC← played for numbers of festivals in Japan for the first time. For example, “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2009(Gypsy Avalon)” and “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2009 in EZO(BOHEMIAN GARDEN)” For both festivals, →Pia-no-jaC← made the venue filled with people. At “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL”, →Pia-no-jaC← was asked for an encore which was the first time since the “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL” started.

Not only in Japan, but →Pia-no-jaC← played for the festivals in Thailand, Bangkok , and Taiwan.

Spring 2010, →Pia-no-jaC← went for the hall tour “BACK IN THE JAPAN TOUR 2010” All the tickets were sold out in 5 minutes.

Also, →Pia-no-jaC← made headliner for both “ZIP-FM SAKAE SP-RING 2010” in Nagoya and “FM 802 MINAMI WHEEL 2010” in Osaka. Again, both venues were filled with people and the venue was regulated.

Played for “SETSTOCK’10”, the big summer music festival.
Played for “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’10 and attracted 3,500 audiences.

Fall 2010, →Pia-no-jaC← went for a tour “Jumpin’ →JAC← Flash Tour”. Over 7,000 audiences were attracted by their performance.

Played for 2 festivals in Korea and made a big success.
Not only playing at the big stages, but they also play at the CD shops, shopping malls, a public bath, and ballet class for the kids.
They have also played with the Japanese traditional art, “Kagura”.

→Pia-no-jaC←have good footwork which make them go and play anywhere, anytime.
Not Jazz, neither Classic, but their new sound “Hybrid Instrumental” music attracts so many people in a different way.
“Lightning Piano” and “Explosion Cajon” break the rule of world music!

BORN: Kagoshima (Japan) Grew up in Osaka.
BIRTH: July 5th, 1981

GOAL : To be able to play piano which everyone can enjoy.
PROFILE :
Start learning piano from 3 years old. Later Hayato found out that formal play is not just right fir him and quit learning piano when he was 6th grade. Though, he could throw away a passion for the piano and started playing piano again in his own style.
When he was a high school student, he started play piano for several bands and now he is a member of →Pia-no-jaC←.

PROFILE:
Started playing electronic organ from 6 years old.
Started playing drum when he was a high school student.
When he was 20 years old, one of his best friends advised him to play cajon. At that time, no one knew about cajon.
He stared learning cajon by himself and started playing cajon for other artists in Osaka and met HAYATO.
In 2005, they formed →Pia-no-jaC← and started playing for lots of shows. One of his goal, is to play cajon which gain the sympathy of many audiences.
